Welcome to The Tarwater House! This cozy little cottage was built in 1946 by my grandparents and totally remodeled in 2013. It boasts lots of character and amenities for your convenience. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. All of the bedrooms are equipped with smaller TV’s and DVD players. The Living room is equipped with a Smart HDTV and wireless internet is provided for your stay. All TV's have ROKU's and we have Spectrum Apps - please click on the Spectrum App to stream cable TV. If you would like to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. login to your account, but make sure to logout before your departure.
The kitchen is fully equipped - stainless steel appliances, all dishes, cookware, crockpot, etc., are provided. An outdoor charcoal grill is also provided for your use. We have a large field that you are welcome to use for croquet, volleyball, bean bag toss, horse shoes, etc. There is an outdoor firepit with Adirondack chairs and you are welcome to to enjoy the Wicker deck furniture as well! Summary: Property was exactly as described. Everything needed was provided. Kitchen very well stocked...an important detail for someone with multiple dietary restrictions due to illness and chemo. House and furnishings are extremely comfortable. LOVE the door lock--no key to keep up with, no wrestling with a realtors' box. Felt very safe and secure throughout the stay.

Summary: Very nice clean house. Perfect location for any events. We were here for Ponies in the Smokies but it is close to all the entertainment without the noise at night.

Summary: We had such a pleasant experience staying at the cottage! The location couldn’t have been any better plus we were only minutes away from literally everything! We wanted somewhere that wasn’t high in the mountains or have to travel up steep hills during the stay and we got exactly what we wanted. Would definitely stay again. Loved the history/picture wall with the families generations and story binder!

Summary: I had such an amazing time with my family here. The house and the property, plus the location was perfect. There was so much room for outside family activities and it's in a safe location. The house was decorated for us which was so thoughtful! I would stay here again and highly recommend! 10/10! Thanks for letting us stay!!

Summary: This is the 2nd time we have stayed with this host at this charming little cottage. We love the location. Close enough to everything and away from the hustle. Home has all that you need. Porch is wonderful. We are looking at dates again for next year. You will not regret this stay....price is wonderful.

Summary: The property and house were wonderful!! It was super cute inside (pics don't do it justice) and had everything we could have needed. We kept ourselves so busy with all the tourist stuff so didn't get to enjoy all the house and property had to offer but if we did it again, we'd stay another day to do a fire and enjoy the deck and peacefulness! Would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area!
